Debbi moved to Aspen, Colorado, after twenty-one years as a member of the faculty of the Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis.  Her law teaching specialties were trusts and estates, property law, real estate finance, and land use.  In her law classes, she emphasized problem-solving and avoidance of litigation. Thus, it is only natural that she is now engaged in helping people solve problems out of court, through mediation, arbitration, and the entire array of conflict resolution services offered at Aspen Dispute Resolution.

Debbi received her undergraduate degree in Art History from Mount Holyoke College and her J.D. from Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis in 1975, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Indiana Law Review.  She has written numerous law review articles and book supplements, including volume 1 of a treatise on Indiana Probate Law and Practice, and she has been a frequent presenter at continuing legal education seminars over the years.  She has served as a consultant on occasion, and as an Associate Dean for Student Affairs during a brief period of insanity.

Debbi is admitted to practice law in Indiana and Colorado.  She is a member of the American Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, and Colorado Women’s Bar Association.  Her personal interests are reflected in her previous involvement with the Indiana ARC Master Trust Advisory Committee, the Legal Services Organization of Indiana Board of Directors, the Park Tudor School (Indianapolis) Board of Directors, and the Aspen Education Foundation.  She maintains an association with Indiana University as Professor of Law Emeritus.
